About Us

BDL Accounting Services (“BDLAS’) is a sole-proprietorship that provides professional services such as external and internal auditing, accounting and bookkeeping, taxation management, process improvement and internal controls enhancement, management and staff trainings and general consulting.

It is owned and managed by Mr. Benigno D. Ledina, Jr., a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who graduated Bachelor of Science and Commerce major in Accounting in San Beda College in 1985.  Mr. Ledina likewise completed his post-graduate studies - Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the De La Salle University in 1994.

Started his career in 1986 at Price Waterhouse Coopers (local partner of Joaquin Cunanan & Company), one of the “big 4” Accounting firms in the world based in London, United Kingdom. He worked subsequently in various private firms in the Philippines under the sugar, hotel, oil and gas and agricultural industries. Mr. Ledina has more than 33 years of auditing, accounting, finance as well as operations exposure.  He worked with Caltex Philippines (1994-2001), a US Multinational company, starting as a Senior Internal Auditor until he got promoted to Internal Audit Manager.  

He then moved in May 2001 to Del Monte Fresh Produce (Phils), a US-based Multinational company that is into production, transportation, marketing and sales of agricultural fresh produce products.  He started alone as an Internal Audit Manager until he got promoted to Internal Audit Director covering the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region.  He continuously built a strong and competent professional team until his recent decision to opt for early retirement in June 2019 after 18 years with the company. His stint with Del Monte honed his skills, among others, in Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance work - managing the Internal Audit Team perform walkthroughs of key processes and test of identified key controls as to effectiveness.

Mr. Ledina traveled in different countries in Asia namely Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea including New Zealand and the United States of America (USA).  These worldwide work assignments exposed him to the various cultures and individual characters and personalities that led to improving his people and social skills.
